SAN DIEGO, Calif.—The Gonzaga men's rowing team had a good day racing today in the San Diego Crew Classic. 

Both boats that competed today finished second in their races, both good enough to compete in tomorrow's two finals. 

The varsity boat finished with a time of 6:24.350 out of five boats in the same race. The 2V8 boat finished in 6:40.876 with five boats competing as well.

The Zags will have two races tomorrow, with one at 9:27 a.m. and the other at 11:03 a.m. "Good racing for both boats today making it into their respective V8 and JV8 finals," head coach Dan Gehn said. "This is early season for us and this is valuable experience against teams that have been on the water for a while."
