POCATELLO, Idaho – Gonzaga women's soccer picked up its third straight victory with a 3-0 shutout win at Idaho State Sunday.
The Bulldogs (4-2-2) controlled the match outshooting ISU, 28-7, and possession the ball for 57 percent of the game. GU had a 13-4 advantage in shots on goal as well.
Giana Riley opened the scoring in the 19
th minute with a low shot past the Bengals' (1-5-2) keeper.
Erin Healy was credited with the assist.
Kelsey Oyler scored her first goal of the season in the 32
nd minute off a strike from distance to the far post.
Kate Doyle assisted
Marissa Garcia's third goal of the season in the 80
th minute.
Lyza Bosselmann made four saves in the Gonzaga net. Three goalkeepers played for Idaho State and Kelsey Jargstorf finished with seven saves.
All four of Riley's shots were on goal in the match.
Maddie Kemp took a game-high five shots with three on frame.
