MTEN: Zags Conclude Action at ITA Super Regionals

The Bulldogs go to Denver next week to compete in Denver Hidden Duel
PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Gonzaga men's tennis team concluded their participation in the ITA Super Regionals earlier this afternoon. This marks the fourth of six tournaments the Zags are scheduled to perform in this fall season.
Beginning with the Doubles Main Draw, Gonzaga's Sasha Trkulja and Matthew Hollingworth earned an 8-5 victory over Stanford's Kyle Kang and Hudson Rivera to advance to the Quarterfinals. In their next match, Hollingworth and Trkulja battled, but lost to Pacific's Peter Alam and Justas Trainauskas by a score of 8-7. This is the third consecutive season that Hollingworth and Trkulja have advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Doubles Main Draw at the ITA Super Regionals.
Moving to the singles competition, Trkulja performed in the Quarterfinals of the Singles Main Draw, losing to Rivera by a score of 7-6, 6-4. Closing today's action for the Zags was Hollingworth, who clinched a 7-5, 7-5 victory against California's John Kim in straight sets.

Today's performance concluded Gonzaga's participation in the ITA Super Regionals. The Zags will hit the court next on October 27th, when they will play in the Denver Hidden Duel.
