SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The Gonzaga men's rowing team finished the fall season at the San Diego Fall Classic this morning.

"Good racing today despite the tough conditions with boat wakes on the course," head coach Dan Gehn said. "This fall racing gives a good idea of where our speed is in relationship to the conference."

In the Men's Open 8 race, Gonzaga's 1V8 finished third with a time of 14:09.391. UCSD took first with a finishing time of 13:53.882. GU's JV8 boat also competed and finished sixth with a time of 14:46.542 out of 13 total boats.

Three boats competed in the Open 4+ race for the Zags. The A boat placed second with a time of 16:20.820. USD took first with a 15:49.544 time. The B boat finished sixth with a time of 16:48.946 while the C boat finished ninth with a finishing time of 16:57.735 out of 15 crews. 

This concluded the fall competition for the Bulldogs. The full spring schedule will be released at a later time on GoZags.com.
