Anton Watson was named the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

In last week's win over UCLA, Watson scored a career-high 32 points shooting 14-for-15 from the field for a shooting percentage of .933 that, at the time, was the best in the nation this season and currently ranks second. He was 3-for-3 on 3-pointers and grabbed seven rebounds as the Zags beat the Bruins for the fourth straight season, 69-65. In the 76-57 win over Syracuse the day before, he notched a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. He was named to the Maui Invitational All-Tournament Team. This is Gonzaga's first men's basketball Conference weekly award this season.
