CORVALLIS, Ore. – Gonzaga men's golfer
Daniel Kim tied for eighth at the Oregon State Invitational at Trysting Tree Golf Course.
Kim, who played as an individual, finished at one-under (212). He was consistent in the event carding a 71 (E) the first and second rounds, with a 70 (-1) in Round 2. The junior made 13 birdies in the tournament, including five in the second round.
The Bulldogs placed fifth as a team at eight-over (860). GU totaled a 284 (E) in Round 2. The Zags made 44 birdies, which was the fourth-most in the tournament. Gonzaga went 10-over (3.17) on the course's Par-3 holes, which topped the field.
Bruce Chang rose nine spots on the leaderboard on the final day, carding a 70 (-1) in Round 3. He made five birdies and nine pars Tuesday. Chang's 14 birdies were the second-most in the 72-golfer field. The sophomore finished even-par (213).
Ethan Flynn was right behind at one-over (214) in a tied for 15
th. His second round 69 (-2) was the lowest in the event for the Bulldogs. He made six birdies and nine pars in Round 2. The Truckee, Calif., native, was even-par (3.00) on the Par-3 holes.
Guillermo Polo Bodart climbed 14 spots after a 71 (E) in the final round. He tied for 30
th at five-over (218).

Charlie Olson placed 36
th at 47
th. Nunez was six-over (219) and Olson was eight-over (221).
Washington State's Sam Renner took medalist honors at 10-under (203), while Rylan Johnson of Oregon State was second at seven-under (206).
UC Irvine won the team title at four-under (848) and Oregon State was second at two-under (850).
