EUGENE, Ore. – The Gonzaga women's tennis team began its fourth fall event today at the Duck Invitational.
In doubles, Norhan Hesham/Lia Espinal defeated Washington State in an exciting tiebreaker and Hesham/Savannah Johnson won their match 6-3 against Boise State. Johnson then paired up with a WSU athlete, defeating another Bronco duo, 7-5.
Facing Seattle in singles on Friday, Espinal and Johnson each fell in straight sets. Espinal's bout was hard-fought, with her Redhawk opponent surviving 7-5, 6-4. Hesham came out on top over Seattle in her singles match, 6-4, 6-1.
