Chelsea Le scored the game-winner on a free kick in the 61
st minute.
In an evenly matched contest, the Bulldogs (8-7-2, 4-3-1 West Coast Conference) pulled out the victory despite being outshot 7-6. GU had a 4-2 edge in shots on goal. Portland possessed the ball for 51 percent of the match. The Pilots took seven of the match's eight corner kicks.
Both teams took two shots in the first half, before the offenses picked up the pace in the final 45 minutes. Seniors
Marissa Garcia and Le both took two shots, with Le's game-winning strike curling into the top left of the net. It was Le's fifth goal of the season, and seventh in her career.
Bre Norris made three saves for the Pilots (8-5-6, 3-3-3 WCC), while
Lauren Towne had two saves in the Gonzaga net.
