Gonzaga Adds Virginia Transfer Jalen Warley

Joins Zags for his senior season in 2025-26

SPOKANE, Wash. – Jalen Warley, a transfer from Virginia, signed a financial aid agreement to attend Gonzaga University and will join the men's basketball program.
 
Warley, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., appeared in 96 games at Florida State, starting in 58. He spent three seasons at FSU, before transferring to Virginia prior to this season.
 
Warley, a 6-7 205-pound wing, has a career average of six points per game and 2.9 assists per game, coming off a career-high 7.5 points per outing, on 42 percent shooting from the field, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals over 33 appearances last season as a junior.
 
Warley boasts career-highs of 23 points against Pittsburgh in 2023 and Louisville in 2024. He's pulled down a career-high seven rebounds three times, including once at Duke in 2022. He had seven assists at Wake Forest in 2023, and five steals at Florida in 2023. Warley has two 20-point career games and 14 double-digit scoring efforts. He has played in 30 or more minutes in 21 games in his career.
 
Out of Westtown High School, Warley was a five-star point guard ranked as the 23rd best overall player in the 2021 recruiting class and as the third best point guard in the nation by 247 Sports. He was nominated as a McDonald's All-American in 2021, after averaging 15.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game as a senior. He was a Pennsylvania All-State First-Team selection as a senior and was named as the best player in the state Pennsylvania by MaxPreps as a senior.
