CORVALLIS, Oregon- Gonzaga Volleyball fell in three sets on Thursday as they lost to Oregon State in Corvallis. The Zags dropped all three sets 25-19, 25-22, and 25-15 to close their first road trip in WCC play.

The first set was competitive as Fallon Thompson had the first four kills for the Zags to tie the game at 10 points each after an initial OSU scoring run to open the game. The Zags couldn't get the offense working in the first set, hitting only .111 against a tough Beavers defense. Despite an impressive four aces in just the first set, the Zags fell behind and couldn't get the score back to level for the rest of the game.

The Zags also jumped out to a lead to start the second set, powered by another two back to back aces from Autumn Larson. A rally by Oregon State tied the match at 19-19 before they eventually captured the set behind a point that took several minutes of review by the officials.  The Zags let the third set slip away after the Beavers went on another couple sets of runs to finish out the match.

Fallon Thompson impressed with a team high 11 kills for the Zags, while the Beavers had  a game high 17 kills from Lauren Rumel. OSU's Tia Shum led the game with 14 digs, while Emma Lilo had a double-double with 11 digs and 18 assists.

The Zags will look to get back on track in WCC play on Saturday when they face the Seattle Red Hawks in Spokane.
