Pepperdine junior Mahanth Chirravuri took medalist honors in a playoff over teammate Kristoffer Kuvaas. At the conclusion of an eventful third round, Chirravuri and Kuvaas were tied at 15-under 201, but 54 holes weren't enough to decide the individual champion. Chirravuri and Kuvaas went back and forth during the final nine holes Saturday afternoon. Kuvaas erased a three-stroke deficit at one point to storm back and eventually take the lead heading into the final third of his round.
Four players – Cade Anderson, Carlos Astiazaran, Rylan Johnson and J.P. Odland – were three strokes back at the round's conclusion. The Pepperdine pair made their way to the 10th tee, which served as the first playoff hole. Chirravuri recorded an eagle on No. 10 to win the title.
