SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Gonzaga men's rowing team will head to Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif., to compete in their first MPSF Championship this Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18.

GU has been nationally ranked this season along with some other teams in the field. The Zags will be competing against California, Oregon State, San Diego, Santa Clara, Stanford, UC San Diego and Washington. Gonzaga will race in three events including the 1V8, 2V8 and 3V8.
The competition begins on Saturday with the first race at 12:30 p.m. with the first heat of the Varsity 8 boats. The day concludes at 1 p.m. with the second head of the 2V8 races. The final races take place on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. with the Freshman 8 Grand Final. The final race of the day, which also crowns the champion, is the Varsity 8 Grand Final at 10:12 a.m.
