EUGENE, Ore. – The Gonzaga men's golf team tied for 12th at The Duck Invitational, hosted by Oregon at the Eugene Country Club.
The Zags posted a three-round total of 41-over par (893), with rounds of 16-over (300) in Round 1, eight-over (292) in Round 2, and 17-over (301) in the final round.
Charlie Olson led GU with a 25th-place finish at six-over par (219). Olson recorded rounds of 74 (+3), 71 (E), and 74 (+3) across the three-day event.
Jayden Lizama followed at 12-over par (77-73-75), while
Guillermo Polo Bodart finished at eight-over par (71-74-76).
Michael Vienneau posted a 15-over par total (78-74-76), and
Ethan Flynn rounded out the Gonzaga lineup at 33-over par (87-80-79).
Illinois captured the team title at five-over par (857). Oregon was second at 10-over (867). Max Herendeen of Illinois captured medalist honors competing as an individual. He was 11-under (202). Oregon's Aiden Krafft was second at six-under (207).
Gonzaga will next compete at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational (March 30–31) at the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash.
