Drew Pedersen Named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga men's soccer's Drew Pedersen was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Pedersen provided the difference in Gonzaga's 1-0 road victory at CSU Bakersfield on Saturday, scoring the game-winning goal in the 76th minute. Dashiell Stein provided the assist on the play as Pedersen found the back of the net for his third goal of the season.
The goal helped the Bulldogs improve to 3-3-1 on the season and secure their fourth shutout of the year. Pedersen finished the match with one shot, putting it on frame for the game winner.
Through seven matches this season, Pedersen leads Gonzaga with three goals and seven points. He has scored in wins over Utah Tech, Northwest (Wash.) and CSU Bakersfield, while also recording an assist against Northwest.
The honor marks Gonzaga's second Pac-12 weekly award of the season after Carson Hammond was named Pac-12 Newcomer of the Week on Sept. 1.
Gonzaga returns to action Sunday, Sept. 20, traveling to Las Vegas to take on UNLV at 7 p.m.
