SERVING UP A NEW SEASON
-The Zags are coming off a 2025 season that saw them total their best winning percentage in the past decade, finishing with 14 wins while posting one of the largest win improvements in the NCAA in the first year under head coach JT Wenger
-GU is retooling as a young team, with 8 newcomers (one transfer and seven incoming freshman). The Bulldogs cast a wide net while bringing in these new players, highlighted by a freshman class with Danish national youth team experience (Niki Clausen & Veronia Sorensen), Canadian national championship winners (Megan Deveaux), Texas state champions (Lydia Fisher) and AVCA award winners (Dani Clewis)
-All 5 of Gonzaga's current leaders in points are all new to the program in 2026.
-Claire Wagstaff currently leads the offense with 39 points after transferring in from Wyoming. Wagstaff is averaging 4.33 points per set, the third highest rate of any player in the Pac-12
- Dani Clewis has 81 assists while serving as the primary setter as a Freshman, the third highest assist total in the Pac-12. Clewis was an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American in high school
REVISITING A RECORD YEAR
-The Zags will look to build on a fantastic serving season in Wenger's first year as head coach, with GU setting a new program record in service aces with 180.
-GU will look to replace the service skill of recently graduated Autumn Larson, who tied a program record for aces in a single season with 42 in her senior season.
- Taylor Walsh had 39 aces last season, the fourth most by a Zag in a single season in current scoring.
- Gonzaga finished the 2025 season with their most kills in a decade with 1,430.
-This was complimented with a .223 hitting percentage, also the best mark in a decade.
-Last season's 15.96 points per set and 1,313 assists were also the most by GU in a decade.
FRESH FACES TO OPEN THE FALL
-Although Gonzaga and Cal State Fullerton met in 2024, the faces on the sideline have changed: Both Fullerton and Gonzaga have a head coach in their second year at the school, as both current head coaches were coaching elsewhere when these programs met in Spokane exactly two years ago.
- Gonzaga has never played against Oral Roberts. ORU is also led by a second year head coach, with ORU's Nolan Albercht taking over a team that has now lost 25 games in three straight seasons. Oral Roberts opened the year with a 3-0 record, already tying their win total from last year.
- Gonzaga and Eastern played a five set thriller last time they met, as the Zags came back from Cheney with a win behind 12 service aces, the second most aces by GU in a game last season.

2,428: Nia Damuni is 4 assists away from passing Lauren Joseph for the 7th most career assists in GU history and 4th all time in rally scoring. Damuni currently has 2,428 career assists
19: Gonzaga already has 19 aces this season, the most of any team in the Pac-12. GU had nine aces in the win against Southern Utah. The Zags had seven games last season where they had 10 or mores aces.
.243: GU has the best hitting percentage in the Pac-12, with the Zags hitting .243 with 140 kills on 345 attacks. Gonzaga has the second most kills in the conference despite taking just the sixth most attacks
