Gonzaga University Athletics

Gonzaga University: (2018-19) Cross Country - Competed in three meets. The Montana Invitational, Inland Empire Challenge, and the Sasquatch Invite…Indoor - Competed in the Mile at the UW Preview. Had his highest finish of the season at the WSU Indoor Track and Field Meet in the 800m where he took 2nd. Also competed at the UW Invitational and the D1 Team Invitational…Outdoor - Competed in the 1500m at WAR 12. Competed in the Mile at the Spokane Memorial 2019. Had his highest finish of the season in the 800m by placing 4th at the West Coast Invitational.
 
High School- Sandoval comes to Gonzaga after a stellar career at Richland High School. During his high school career, he was the District champion in the 800 meters for four straight years with a personal best of 1:55.69 in the event. He holds other track personal bests of 4:17.62 in the 1600 meters and 9:24.22 in the 3200 meters. In cross country Jonah has a 5,000 meter personal best of 16:15 from the District Championship meet where he placed 2nd.

Personal- “I chose Gonzaga because I feel that the university will allow me to realize my full potential as a student and an athlete. I want to earn my electrical engineering degree and also be an NCAA Division 1 champion.” Jonah also played two years of basketball at Richland High School. Favorite music is hip-hop.
