Biography
SENIOR (2018-19): Appeared in six tournaments…73.89 scoring average…18 rounds played…finished tied for 7th at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational…seven-under on the tournament…cared a 66 in the final round…tied-third all-time in program history for lowest round in a tournament…two top 25 finishes on the season…tied for 31st at the West Coast Conference Championships…75.71 career scoring average ... Academic All-Conference.
JUNIOR (2017-18): Appeared in all eight events for the Zags...played 23 rounds...carded eight rounds under par...averaged 73.83 on the season, nearly three under his career average...recorded a pair top-25 finishes, at the Nick Watson Invitational (t-14th) and the Loyola Intercollegiate (14th)...shot +14 in the West Coast Conference Championships.
SOPHOMORE (2016-17): appeared in seven events and 21 rounds this season … 78.90 scoring average this season … four rounds of under-par or even-par … low round of 70 this season in the final round of the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational … tied for 24th at the Saint Mary’s Invitational.
FRESHMAN (2015-16): appeared in seven events … played 21 rounds … had a 76.14 season average … relative to par was five-over … ended the season with his lowest round of 69 in the final round of the West Coast Conference Championships … he placed 23rd at the WCC Championships … was three-over at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic … he opened the tournament with a 70 in the first round.
HIGH SCHOOL: received the Maui News Co-Player of the Year honor after taking the individual title for the Maui Interscholastic League in 2014 … was a Manoa Cup Stroke Play Co-Medalist, along with the Dave and Buster’s Junior Classic Champion … From 2012 to 2014, he was a member of the Asia Pacific Junior Cup team, and co-captain twice … was an Eddie Hogan Cup team member in 2012 and 2014 … In 2013, Munetake was the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association Match Play champion, and Asia Pacific Cup co-champion … ranked third on the Junior Golf Scoreboard in Hawaii for class of 2015 … had a 3.8 GPA … was in the top 10 percent of his class … was a member of the National Honor Society.
