Played in 18 games…started in all of them…logged 1634 minutes…fired five shots, scoring two goals…WCC All-Academic Team for the third time.

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2017)
Played in 11 games, starting in all of them … scored one goal, the game winning-goal at Bradley … fired nine shots, three of which were on goal … played 90 minutes or more in three of the last four matches … led a defense that allowed one goal or less on nine occasions … WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention.

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2016)
Played in 15 games, starting in all of them … was fourth on the team with eight points, and fourth with three goals … added two assists … fired eight shots, three of which were on goal, all three scoring … led the team with two game-winning goals, fifth in the WCC, including the game-winner in the 3-1 win at No. 20 American … WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention … WCC Player of the Week (Aug. 29).

Played in and started the first six games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury...Helped the defense hold those first six teams to just four goals.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played one year of high school soccer at Seattle Prep prior to joining the U.S. Development Academy which prohibits participants from playing high school soccer...Played for the Seattle Sounders Pre-Academy as a freshman, then played for the USSDA with the Crossfire Premier from 2011-14...led team to the USSDA playoffs at the U16 tournament in Frisco, Texas, as a junior, starting all 28 matches... Compiled a 3.45 GPA and was named to the Seattle Prep Honor Roll three years...Peter Giftopoulos (father) played for Penn State University with Joe Paterno as head coach and intercepted Vinny Testaverde's pass to clinch the Fiesta Bowl National Championship title in 1986, the last PSU football team to win National Championship. Peter was also named a preseason All-American for 1987 season and on to play for his hometown Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football League...Steve Staios (cousin) retired from the National Hockey League with the New York Islanders, playing in the NHL from 1993-2012...Remy Giftopoulos (cousin) drafted into the Ontario Hockey League in 2009 and played 2014 season in Windsor, Ontario.
