Bryan Hernandez enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Gonzaga men's soccer program in 2026 after previously serving as a volunteer assistant with the Bulldogs.
Hernandez has been involved with the Gonzaga program for several seasons, primarily working with the Bulldogs' goalkeepers. He was listed as a volunteer assistant on the GU staff from 2022 through 2024.
Hernandez has also been heavily involved in the Spokane soccer community. He has served as a coach and goalkeeper coach with Spokane Shadow/Spokane Sounders, including leading the club's U19 boys program. Hernandez has also held administrative and leadership responsibilities within the organization while continuing his work with the Gonzaga men's soccer program.
A former goalkeeper, Hernandez first came to Spokane in 2017 to play for the Spokane Shadow Men's First Team while competing collegiately at Humboldt State. Prior to his collegiate career, the Los Angeles native played for South Bay Force and Pateadores Academy, helping Pateadores win a U18 national championship. He was also a Cal South ODP player from 2008-10 and spent time in the El Salvador U20 National Team pool.
Hernandez graduated from Humboldt State in 2018.
