Gonzaga University- 1 year varsity letter winner in cross country…scored for the Zags during the 2013 XC season both at the NCAA Regional and WCC Championship meets…currently #10 on all-time 8k XC list (24:34)….ranked #3 all time track’s 10,000 meter run (30:07.27), #5 all time in the 5000 meters outdoors (14:22.03), # 4 all time in the 5000 meters indoors (14:34.11), and #10 all time in the 3000 meters indoors (8:24.70)…personal bests of 3:55 (1500), 14:22 (5000) and 30:07 (10,000)
High School- Graduate of Meadowdale High School in Edmonds, Wash…personal bests of 2:00 (800), 4:22 (1600) and 9:23 (3200)
Personal- Graduated in 2015 from Gonzaga with a degree in English. Currently working towards his Masters of Initial Teaching…emulates American distance runner Will Leer and enjoys Leer’s glorious mustache…chose Gonzaga because it was the best opportunity to run fast under a coaching staff that is one of the best in America while receiving a world-class education….weird fact: his dog has a Facebook account…nickname: Matty Ice
