SAINT MARY'S
Dalton played four seasons at Saint Mary's and appeared in 119 games, starting in 83 of those. She Averaged 25.5 minutes a game in her career at SMC and scored 965 points.
During the 2023-24 season, she averaged 10 points a game and started in 28 games for the Gaels. She scored a season-high 27 points at LMU and dished out six assists against Pacific.
Before arriving at Saint Mary's, Dalton competed in the 2017 U16 Asian Championships in India, 2018 U17 World Cup in Belarus, 2018 U19 Asia Cup in India, and the U18 3x3 World Cup in Mongolia in 2023 when she helped her team to win a silver medal. She also competed in the skills contest at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup where she earned a bronze medal.
In 2019, she averaged 37 points at Carmel College, as she helped them to a best-ever, third place finish in regionals to qualify for Secondary School Nationals. Once at Nationals, she led the tournament in scoring at 26 points per game.
Lisa Fortier on Dalton: We are really excited to have Tayla join our team. We have gotten familiar with her game over the years, and she really can do a bit of everything. She shoots the ball well from the perimeter, and can play multiple guard positions. Tayla is a tough defender and a perfect culture fit.
