Biography
Senior (2022-2023): Preseason All-Conference ... Appeared in 8 out of 9 events throughout the season… She led the Bulldogs to a second-place finish in the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Kapolei Hawaii… She finished atop the leaderboard at -1 with her best round of the season coming in the first round with a 67… She placed 6th at the WCC Championships at +2 with her best round coming in the final round at a 70… Her average this season was a 73.30 with a +2 relative to par in 9 events in 27 rounds… She was named to the All-WCC Women’s Golf Team.
2021-22 (Junior): Kim finished this last season in second place in Gonzaga women’s golf for best season average with her average score of 75.97. Her season’s lowest round was in the Hobble Creek Fall Classic with her lowest score at 67 (-4) in the third round helping her team come in first. Kim appeared in all 10 events. This past season, Kim showed consistency, with her best score coming in at four rounds at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic. Kim has excelled in her last three years at Gonzaga University. She currently sits at No. 6 record for women’s golf of best scoring average, career with a shot average score of 75.47 ... named All-American Scholar ... Academic All-WCC.
2020-21 (Sophomore): Appeared in all six tournaments for a total of 17 rounds… Third on the team with a 75.06 stroke average… Finished in the Top-5 once, and Top-10 twice… Finished second and assisted the team to win their first ever WCC team title ... named All-American Scholar ... First Team All-WCC ... Academic All-WCC.
2019-20 (Freshman): Appeared in six tournaments, played 18 rounds...Earned WGCA All-America honors...Placed in the top 30 three times with one top-10 finish...Tied for 10th at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, helping GU to the team title...Had a 75.06 stroke average and had two rounds at par or better...Finished in a tie for 28th at both the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational and the Rebel Beach Intercollegiate.
AC Davis High School: 2017 WIAA State 4A champion...four-time CBBN League MVP, District Champion, and Player of the Year...Had 22-league match win streak over four years...Won the PNW Junior PGA Championship in Dupont, Wash...Earned a berth to the 44th Girls Junior PGA Championship in Hartford, Connecticut...junior career also includes the stroke play title at the 2017 PNGA Jr. Girls Championship and at the 2018 WJGA Eastern Open, as well as a third-place finish at the 2018 AJGA Kyle Stanley....member of the National Honor Society and had a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Personal: Daughter of Yong-Ki Kim and Jea-Hee Kwak...Has one brother, John...Majoring in chemistry and plans to become a doctor ... played in U.S. Women's Amateur Championships in 2021 and 2022.
