Freshman (2024-2025): Played 14 rounds for 1,040 strokes (74.29 avg) … Posted a low round of 68 in both R1 and R3 at fall events … Strong freshman debut with multiple under-par performances … One of the team’s most promising first-years.
PRIOR TO GONZAGA: Wong joins join the Zags after a stretch of winning the Interscholastic League of Honolulu individual championship by 11 strokes, then becoming Iolani School's first individual girls state champion in May, followed by winning the Manoa Cup, which is given to the state's amateur match-play champion. She was named First Team ILH, and the conference's Golfer of the Year. After winning the girls' state title for the first time in the school's history, Wong defeated Rachael Wang, 3 and 1, for the Manoa Cup women's championship at Oahu Country Club. Wang was the 2023 HSJGA Kauai Junior Champion and Maui Junior Champion. She was also the HSJGA State Junior Open Champion and won the Eddie Hamada Award. Wong qualified for the 2024 USGA Women's Four-ball and Notah Begay III National Championship. The two-time qualifier for the IMG Junior Championship, was the California Junior Golf Tour Player of the Year in 2018 and the Michelle Wie Tournament of Champions Winner in 2019. Wong was the 2023 ILH Champion and was named ILH First Team from 2020 to 2023. She had a 74.42 scoring average as a junior, 75.9 scoring average as a sophomore, and a 76.25 scoring average as a freshman. Off the course, Wong boasts a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and has been named to the honor roll four times. She was named to the Headmasters List three times and is a three-time Acolyte Service winner.
