Gonzaga University Athletics

Lucie Weissova joined the Gonzaga coaching staff in August 2019.

Weissova is originally from Prague, Czech Republic and was a recruited, four-year varsity rower at Washington State in Pullman, Wash. Weissova raced at the NCAAs each of her four years at WSU. Her freshman year she helped the varsity four place second at the Pac-12 Championships, and her final three years she helped the Cougars’ varsity eight place seventh at the NCAAs.

She graduated in 2018 with a degree in human development, and during the 2018-19 season she was a volunteer coach for the Bulldogs while working as a preschool teacher. Currently, she is pursuing her Masters in the TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) program.
