Former collegiate standout Megan Falcon joined the Gonzaga women's tennis staff as an assistant coach in July 2015.
Falcon came to Gonzaga after spending the 2015 dual season as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Houston, where she helped lead the Cougars to an NCAA Tournament berth and appearance in the American Athletic Conference championship.
One of the most decorated tennis players in LSU history, Falcon spent three seasons as a Tiger, putting together a 99-18 overall record and earned the No. 1 overall ranking in NCAA singles play. She also earned All-American status in singles and was selected First Team All-SEC all three years at LSU. In 2007, she was SEC Player of the Year and a finalist for the Honda Award, given to the nation's top women's tennis player.
Her playing career did not end upon graduation, however, as she was a touring professional on both the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and International Tennis Federation (ITF) tours. She reached numerous semifinal rounds during her time as a pro.
At LSU, Falcon also earned the ITA's Scholar-Athlete Award twice and spent one semester on the Chancellor's List and two on the Dean's List. She graduated in 2009 with a double major in history and international studies.
Falcon's coaching career includes time as the director of Junior Tennis at Bocage Racquet Club in Baton Rouge, La., where she was selected as USPTA Southern Rookie of the Year in 2012. To earn the award, Falcon coached many of Louisiana's top junior players and prepared them for collegiate tennis.
