Bulldog Volleyball Swept At Pepperdine

MALIBU, Calif. - Gonzaga University's women's volleyball team dropped its 17th straight match in a 15-2, 15-3, 15-1 setback at Pepperdine University in a West Coast Conference match Friday.

Sophomore middle blocker Jennifer Fopma and sophomore outside hitter Stacy Rouwenhorst each recorded 10 kills to pace the 12th-ranked Waves (21-5, 10-1) to the sweep.

Both Fopma (.643) and Rouwenhorst (.692) hit over .600 and the Waves hit .500 as a team. Gonzaga (4-21, 0-12) hit .077 for the match and was out-blocked 6-1 as the Bulldogs had just one solo block and no assisted blocks in the match.

Heather Osberg had a team-high 10 kills and .321 attack percentage for the Bulldogs. No other Bulldog had more than two kills in the match that took just 58 minutes.

Gonzaga concludes its southern California road swing Saturday night at Loyola Marymount University, a 15-2, 15-11, 15-6 winner at home over the University of Portland on Friday.
