CORVALLIS, OR - BreeAnna Jolin scored with just over four minutes remaining to lift Oregon State (4-1-0) over visiting Gonzaga (1-3-0), 1-0, on Friday afternoon at Lorenz Field at Valley Stadium.

The teams played to a scoreless tie through the first 45 minutes of action with Oregon State outshooting Gonzaga 4-3. The Beavers would end the game with a 10-8 advantage in shots with both teams having six shots on goal.

Oregon State finally broke through the Gonzaga defense at the 85:47 mark as Morgan Crabtree dribbled down the middle of the Bulldogs defense and found a streaking Jolin. Jolin then sent the ball over Gonzaga goalkeeper Tara Curtis high into the back of the net from the left side.

Prior to the OSU gamewinner Gonzaga had a chance to go up as Katie Carpenter was awarded a penalty kick for the Bulldogs. Carpenter sent the shot to the lower left-hand side of the net but Beavers goalkeeper Jerika Duran got a piece of the ball and deflected it away to preserve the 0-0 tie.

Gonzaga will head across town on Sunday to play Eastern Washington at 1 p.m. in Cheney.
