Streufert Named To All-West Region Team

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University women's soccer senior Sara Streufert was named to the third team All-West Region team as selected by Soccer Buzz. The four-year starter at Gonzaga set school career and single season records in goals scored, assists and points. During the 2000 season Streufert became only the 10th player in women's West Coast Conference history to pass the 100 point plateau for her career. Streufert finished her GU career with 44 career goals and was twice named a first team All-WCC selection. The Spokane native will graduate in May and is in training for a try-out for the new women's professional soccer league that will start this summer.
