LOS ANGELES - The Gonzaga University women's soccer team (0-14-2, 0-6-0) suffered another West Coast Conference match shutout 4-0 to Loyola Marymount (7-9-0, 3-3-0) Friday at Sullivan Field.
The Lions took the lead early lead as Erica Florez took a 15-yard cross from Myka Peck in the 28th minute. Shari Nishikawa scored an unassisted goal at 40:07 to put the Lions up 2-0 going into the halftime break.
Florez opened second-half scoring for the Lions by sinking a penalty kick and her second goal of the game at 55:23. Two minutes later Kerri Tanksley capped LMU's effort with an assist from Florez.
LMU outshot GU 21-3. Laura Morin, Katie O'Brien and Natalie Hardin each tallied a shot for the Zags.
Bulldog goalkeeper Brooke Longacre earned eight saves.
The Lion goalkeeping trio of Kelly Yukihiro, Autumn Moody and Elizabeth Skhal shared the shutout collecting one save.
The Bulldogs close out the 2001 schedule Sunday against Pepperdine at Noon in Malibu, Calif.
