FULLERTON, Calif. - Gonzaga shot just under 53 percent from the field for the game and had four players in double figures on Tuesday afternoon as the visiting Bulldogs handed host Cal State Fullerton a 75-57 defeat in a non-conference women's basketball game at Titan Gym.
The Titans fell to 2-8 overall with the loss heading into Thursday's Big West Conference opener. The Bulldogs improved to 7-5, winning six of their last seven.
Gonzaga was led by Raeanna Jewell, who was a perfect 7-for-7 from the field and 4-for-4 from three-point range in scoring her game-high 19 points. Gonzaga pushed the lead to as many as 21 points in the closing minute of the first half and led by that margin, 48-27, at the break.
Cal State Fullerton whittled the lead down to 12 points on three different occasions in the second half, but that was as close as the Titans would come.
Fullerton shot a season-low 30.8 percent from the field for the game and tied a season-low with 16 field goals made on the afternoon.
