Portland, Ore. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis collected its first team win of the Spring season Saturday defeating Portland State University 5-2 at the Eastmoreland Racquet Club.

The doubles team of Drew Ernst and Alex McBarnet defeated Kapil Desai and Mark Simpson 8-3 in the No. 2 position to earn the Bulldogs first win. Alex Kull and Andy Livingston recorded the doubles point for GU in the No. 3 position defeating Chuck Haselwood and Cody Hoversland 8-4.

The Bulldogs continued to tally wins in singles play earning four matches. Ernst played out a tie breaker 6-4, 7-6, (7-3) to defeat PSU's Haselwood in three sets.
