Baseball Signs JC Standout For Next Season

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University head baseball coach Steve Hertz has announced the signing of junior college player Gordon Corder for the 2003 baseball season.
Corder played the last two seasons at Big Bend Community College where he was twice named the Eastern Division MVP for the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. This season Corder led the NWAACC with a .449 batting average and a league-high 18 doubles. Corder split time between first base and catcher at Big Bend CC and will have a chance to step into one of those positions next season for the Bulldogs.
