Munhall Signs With San Francisco Giants

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University senior catcher Brian Munhall has signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco Giants and will play this summer for Salem-Keizer of the Northwest League.
Munhall, a Ferris High graduate, earned honorable mention All-West Coast Conference honors this season after hitting .306 with 6 home runs and 32 RBI. Munhall also led the Bulldogs with nine stolen bases.
The senior was also recognized this year for his work in the classroom as he was named to the All-WCC academic team and was a member of the Academic All-American All-District squad.
He will join former Gonzaga pitcher David Hixson on the Salem-Keizer roster.
