Bo Hart Named To Topps All-Rookie Team

SPOKANE, Wash. - Former Gonzaga Univesity baseball standout Bo Hart earned his first Major League honor as he was named to the Topps All-Rookie team released by Major League Baseball on Friday afternoon. The team is comprised of players from both leagues and is voted on by major league managers with managers allowed to vote for players from their own teams.
Hart took the nation by storm this season as he appeared in 77 games hitting .277 with 4 homeruns, 13 doubles and 28 RBI. Hart opened the season hitting .489 with 4 doubles and 2 triples in his first nine major league games and immediately became a fan favorite of Cardinals fans.
Hart played two seasons at Gonzaga earned All-WCC first-team honors in 1999 after hitting 13 homeruns as the Bulldogs leadoff hitter.
Joining Hart on the All-Rookie team were NL rookie of the year Dontrelle Willis of the World Champion Florida Marlins and AL rookie of the year Angel Berroa of the Kansas City Royals.
