SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Luke Miller scored the lone goal for Gonzaga University men's soccer team in the season-ending defeat by University of San Francisco, 2-1. The Bulldogs end the season with a 5-11-1 (0-6 West Coast Conference) record, while the Dons finished with a 9-10-1 (3-2-1 WCC) record.

San Francisco scored early in the match as Ben Stuart converted a penalty kick at the 9:19 minute mark. The score would remain 1-0 in the Dons' favor through the first half.

USF scored again in the 64th minute to hold a two-goal advantage. Tyler Penaghan scored his first collegiate goal from a rebound off a shot by teammate Aaron Chandler.

The Bulldogs fought back and narrowed the margin as Miller scored his second goal of the season. Miller deflected the ball from John Pena for the lone Gonzaga score.

The Bulldogs were outshot by the Dons, 15-6, and San Francisco held the advantage with six corner kicks to Gonzaga's one.

Goalkeeper Vito Higgins marked five saves for the Bulldogs. Scott Bertram also ,arled 13:08 between the posts for Gonzaga. San Francisco's Geremy Uhl had no saves on the day.

The Bulldogs end their season without a victory in the West Coast Conference, but held a 5-5-1 non-conference record.
