Baseball Rained Out On Saturday

SPOKANE, Wash. - Saturday's West Coast Conference baseball game between Gonzaga University and Santa Clara University schedueled for 1 p.m. at August/A.R.T. Stadium has been rained out. The two teams will now attempt to play a double-header on Sunday starting at 11 a.m. and then finish the series on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. The series was already moved back to a Saturday-Sunday-Monday format to accomodate Santa Clara's exam schedule.
In addition to the three games versus Santa Clara, Gonzaga will hold a celebration of baseball on Pecarovich Field with several ceremonies taking place during this Tuesday's contest against Whitworth College. The celebration is anticitpation of the Gonzaga University breaking ground on a new basketball arena and new baseball field sometime during the Spring Semester.
