PALO ALTO, Calif - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team concluded play at the ITA Regionals Sunday in Palo Alto, Calif.

In the first round of singles consolation play the Bulldogs recorded four losses. Junior Bryce Cooper was defeated by the University of California, Davis' Jordan Combs, 6-2, 7-5. Freshman Cooper Fratt was handed a loss by the University of Hawaii's Chad Faulk, 6-4, 6-4. Junior Reid Arthur was defeated in straight sets by Stanford University's Eric McKean, 6-3, 6-3 and freshman Marco Pineda was defeated by the University of San Francisco's Timo Kienle, 6-3, ret.

GU recorded one win and two losses in consolation doubles play. The lone Bulldog win of the day came when the team of Cooper/Fratt defeated USF's team of Andrew Bertolina and Greg Hom, 9-8. The Bulldog tandem of Womack/Arthur were defeated by UC Davis' Blake Roberts and Jayce Fitch, 8-2. GU's final doubles team of Ernst/Pineda were defeated by Santa Clara University's A.J. Kerin and Tyler Wilson, 8-6.

The Bulldogs have concluded their fall season and will be back in action on Jan. 22 when they travel to Eugene, Ore. to play the University of Oregon.
