FULLERTON, Calif. - The California State University, Fullerton, women's tennis team won every match against Gonzaga University as the Bulldogs were defeated, 5-0, on Thursday afternoon. The women dropped to 7-8 on the season.

Cal State Fullerton's doubles team of Ioana Sisoe and Ruva Inalpulat defeated Jamie Buterbaugh and Angela Fry, 8-6, along with Nicole Arias and Gina Le's defeat over Bulldogs Katie Sanders and Florence Wasko, 8-2. Since Cal State Fullerton won the doubles point, the third match was left unfinished.

Singles play held the same fate for Gonzaga as Le, Sisoe, Carla Rocha and Caroline Freeman all won their singles matches over the Bulldogs. The match was decided to be Cal State Fullerton's victory at 5-0, so the rest of the matches were unfinished.

The Bulldogs were also defeated by University of California, Riverside, on Wednesday, March 10 by a 4-3 margin. Buterbaugh defeated Michelle Beyronneau (6-4, 6-1), as did transfer Wasko over Carissa Woo (6-2, 6-0) for two Gonzaga points. The Bulldogs won the doubles point as the doubles tandems of Buterbaugh/Fry and Leigh Orne/Sirrah Williams both won their matches. Despite the lead, UC Riverside won the remaining four singles matches.

The Bulldogs return home to host University of Idaho on Saturday, March 13 at 11 a.m.
