Simonitsch Named To Midwest League All-Star Team

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Former Gonzaga starting pitcher Errol Simonitsch was selected to pitch in the 2004 Midwest League All-Star game in late June. Simonitsch currently pitches for the Minnesota Twins farm club, the Swing of the Quad Cities, where he ranks fourth in the MWL in ERA and eighth in strikeouts.
Simonitsch was drafted in the sixth round of the 2003 draft by the Twins and starting his career last summer in Rookie baseball. This year Simonitsch is 5-1 with a 2.31 ERA and 84 strike outs.
