Dec. 15, 2005
With the fall semester coming to a close, Gonzaga University student-athletes gave generously of both their time and money to help out others in the Spokane community during the fall of 2005. Included in the list of projects Bulldog student-athletes helped with are the Habitat for Humanity Project and Christmas Gift Program.
On Nov. 19 of this year Gonzaga student-athletes once again helped with the Habitat for Humanity as 77 Bulldogs helped at a build site in west central Spokane.
For the Christmas Gift Program, Gonzaga student-athletes once again teamed up with the Union Gospel Mission for the second straight year. Each Gonzaga varsity team was assigned a homeless man and used their own funds to purchase gifts for these individuals.
All projects were conducted under the guidance of the Gonzaga Student-Athlete Advisory Committee which helps set up community service projects for Gonzaga student-athletes to give back to the community.
