LEWISTON, Idaho -The Gonzaga University women's tennis team lost a close 4-3 match to Lewis-Clark State College Saturday afternoon.
Lewis-Clark State picked up the doubles point with two wins. GU's lone win in doubles came when Sydney Lederhouse and Erin Humphrey teamed together to defeat Khaliun Enkhjargal and Ana Cornea, 8-1.
In singles play each team recorded three wins. Angela Fry picked up a win the No. 2 spot when she defeated Maria Amelia Resende, 6-3, 6-3. Sirrah Williams also recorded a win for the Bulldogs when she defeated Ana Cornea in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. GU's last win came in the No. 5 spot when Humphrey defeated Rachel Moorehead, 6-4, 6-2.
Gonzaga will be back in action on Saturday at 5 p.m. as they play Linfield College in Lewiston, Idaho.
