GU's Three-Match Win Streak Snapped

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.- The Gonzaga University women's tennis team had its three-match win streak snapped with a 6-1 loss to the University of San Francisco in a West Coast Conference match Saturday afternoon.

USF got the early momentum capturing the doubles point, but the Bulldogs didn't go down without a fight. GU took a win in the No. 2 spot as Amanda Becker and Kendall Bates downed Megan Tiegs and Emma Taylor, 8-3.

In singles play the Bulldogs recorded one win in the No. 4 spot as senior Sirrah Williams defeated Tiegs 3-6, 7-5, 10-6.

The Bulldog women will continue their road swing on Sunday as they travel to Moraga, Calif. for a duel mach against the University of Nevada, Reno at noon.
