SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team was defeated 9-0 by the University of California, San Diego Monday afternoon.

The singles matches were played first, with UCSD sweeping them 6-0. Gonzaga's best chance came at No. 3 singles, where Reid Arthur won the second set 6-4 before Seth Spector came back to take the final set 10-3.

UCSD also swept the doubles, 8-5, 8-1, 8-3.

The Bulldog men will be back in action on Tues. as they travel to play Azusa Pacific University in a 2 p.m. match.
