BOISE, Idaho - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team was narrowly defeated by Montana State University Sunday afternoon, 4-3 in a non-conference match.
The Bulldogs lost the doubles point but did record a win in one doubles match. In the No. 3 spot Amanda Becker and Kimberly Aigner defeated Remy Clark and Katy Clarke, 8-6.
In singles play Kendall Bates tabbed a win as she downed Nuria Lozano in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. The Zags would add another win in singles play in the No. 4 spot when Sirrah Williams defeated Ivette Duran 3-6, 6-3, default. In the No. 6 spot Erin Humphrey recorded a win when she defeated Clark, 5-5, default.
The Bulldog women will be back in action on Saturday as they host Lewis-Clark State College in a 2 p.m. match at Martin Courts.
