SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's West Coast Conference baseball series at Loyola Marymount University to decide the Coast Division title and berth in the WCC Championship series will be broadcast via radio and/or the internet this weekend.
Friday's 3 p.m. game will be available via the internet only through the LMU broadcast. Fans can click on the listen link on the Gonzaga front page (http://www.gozags.com) under Upcoming Events. That link will take listeners to the LMU audio page which is served by Yahoo. Fans not already Yahoo audio subscribers will have to subscribe to listen to Friday's game.
Saturday's noon double-header and Sunday's 1 p.m. regular-season finale of the four-game series can be heard in Spokane as well as on the internet through the joint effort of Brett Sports & Entertainment, Citadel Communications and Gonzaga athletics. Tom Hudson will call the play-by-play with Saturday's games on AM 1050 KEYF and Sunday's game on AM 790 The Fan in Spokane. Those games will also be available on the internet through Real audio, the audio server for Online College Sports which is the official athletic web site for Gonzaga. Fans can click on the listen link under Upcoming Events on the lead page of the Gonzaga web site to get to Real audio. Fans who have already subscribed either for the season package or for the month of May will automatically have access. Other listeners will have to subscribe to Real audio.
All games can also be followed for free on the Gonzaga web site through Gametracker. The Gametracker link is also found under Upcoming Events on the Gonzaga front page.
The Bulldogs and Lions are battling for the Coast Division title, Gonzaga holding a one-game lead heading into the weekend. Gonzaga must win two games in the four-game series to win the Coast Division crown and the host berth for the WCC Championship next weekend. The series is a four-game series because one game in Spokane earlier this season was postponed due to rain and is being made up this weekend since that game could have an impact on the Coast Division title.
