Zags Fall To Dons 3-0

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Gonzaga University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to the University of San Francisco Friday during West Coast Conference Play in San Francisco, Calif.
With the loss, the Zags fall to 8-5-1, 0-2-0 in conference play. The Dons improve to 2-8-3 and 2-0-0 against league opponents.
Jenny Jarvie led San Francisco with two goals, including the Dons' lone goal in the first period. At 8:22, Jarvie connected with a pass from Samantha Brand, to kick the ball high above GU goalkeeper Jessie Thalman's fingers.
The Dons took the 1-0 advantage into the second half, before Jarvie posted her second goal of the evening at the 48:45 mark, thanks to an assist from Fiona O'Sullivan. USF recorded its final goal of the match during the 51st minute, thanks to a shot from three feet into the box by Samantha Brand, who connected with a cross from Jessica Duty.
The Dons held the 17-8 shot advantage during the day as well as a 4-2 corner kick advantage.
The Bulldogs will return to the pitch Sunday, when they travel to Moraga to face Saint Mary's College at 1 p.m.
