THIS WEEK: Gonzaga University will match up with in-state rival Washington State University for a non-conference game 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night. It will be just the second of four scheduled meetings between the Bulldogs and Cougars this season. This weekend the Zags resume WCC play with a three-game series at the University of Portland Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

FOLLOW THE BULLDOGS LIVE: All Gonzaga University home games and selected away games will be available via Gametracker on the internet at http://www.gozags.com. Selected home and away games will also be videostreamed, check the Gonzaga web site to sign up for live video streaming and view other Gametracker links. Gonzaga's final 9 home games will be broadcast on the radio, 1510 AM or 1050 AM with Tom Hudson and former Gonzaga head coach Steve Hertz calling the action.

ON DECK: After Gonzaga University's weekend series at the University of Portland this weekend the Zags will host the University of Arizona on Monday before heading to Santa Clara University for a three-game West Coast Conference series next weekend.

LAST WEEK: Gonzaga University posted a 3-2 record last week, splitting a two-game midweek series with the University of Washington before taking two of three from #21 University of San Diego over the weekend. Ryan Wiegand's fifth-inning grand slam highlighted the Zags 7-3 win over UW last Monday. Matt Fields and Steven Ames each fired gems in GU's game one and game three wins to take the series from #21 USD.

BIG WEEKEND PUTS BULLDOGS IN NATIONAL RANKINGS: Gonzaga University moved in to the national rankings for the first time since 2006 this week, earning a No. 22 ranking in the latest Baseball America national poll after two of three from #21 University of San Diego over the weekend. The Zags last appeared in a national poll back in February of 2006 receiving a No. 29 ranking by Collegiate Baseball. GU has won its past two series against ranked opponents, taking two of three at #26 Pepperdine Apr. 3-5 and also against #21 University of San Diego in Spokane this past weekend. This season the Zags have appeared in the "receiving votes" category of the last three ESPN/USA Today national polls and have posted a 6-3 record against ranked teams.
