Complete list of NSCAA College Team Award Winners
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's and men's soccer teams have been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for academic excellence.
A total of 439 women's soccer programs and 195 men's soccer programs were recognized by the NSCAA with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. With a cumulative GPA of 3.49 posted by the women and a 3.20 posted by the men, Gonzaga was one of 129 schools in the country to have both programs receive the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
The women's team finished 18th in the country among NCAA Division I schools with the highest GPA. In addition, they were also listed the second highest in the West Coast Conference. Central Michigan University had the highest cumulative GPA in the country, posting 3.76.
The men's team posted the highest cumulative GPA in the WCC. The Bulldogs were also one of two teams from the WCC to receive the award. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology had the highest cumulative GPA in the country, posting 4.20.
