March 11, 2010

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team continued play in southern California Thursday afternoon. The Bulldogs had Roman Dojcak and Levin Guillermo each post singles victories but Gonzaga dropped a 5-2 non-conference decision to the University of Pennsylvania.

Dojcak led the way once again for the Zags (5-7), posting his team-best ninth win of the season after winning at No. 2 singles in three sets 7-6, 4-6, 10-8. Guillermo earned the sixth win of his freshman campaign with a 7-5 6-4 victory at No. 3 singles. Penn opened the match by taking all three doubles matches before taking four single matches to post the 5-2 victory.
