Cullen Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga University senior midfielder Catherine Cullen was named West Coast Conference women's soccer Player of the Week Monday.
The Sidney, British Columbia, native scored her first goal of the season off a corner kick in Gonzaga's 2-1 overtime loss to 22nd-ranked University of Southern California last Friday. Two days later, Cullen assisted freshman forward Cassie Geerdts' first collegiate goal to help the Bulldogs defeat Portland State University 1-0. Cullen has two assists this season.
The Bulldogs travel to in-state rival Washington State University Friday at 3 p.m. They will conclude the non-conference schedule Sunday at home against nearby rival Eastern Washington University at 1 p.m.
